IMMERSION: THE FINAL CHAPTER

Starset brought their captivating Immersion tour to The Factory in Dallas Monday night, delivering an absolutely stunning visual performance that left myself and the fans in awe.

What truly set this show apart from all others was Starset's immersive stage production. With stunning visuals projected onto giant screens, atmospheric lighting, and I don’t even know what to call the helicopter like  projecting lights they had on the front of the stage, this show was visually amazing. I would do such a bad job of explaining how those lights in the front of the stage worked so I am just going to direct you to the photos of the show that really do it justice. The band didn’t just look good, they sounded great as well.

Frontman Dustin Bates, “informally describes the music as "cinematic rock". In elaborating further, he said it's "as if a hard rock band did the soundtrack to an epic blockbuster movie. ... We're blending symphonic with electronics with riff-driven, baritone guitar hard rock".

Each song was also accompanied by its own unique visual narrative, adding an extra layer of depth to the performance. “Bates also created the fictional backstory for the band that forms the thematic basis for their music and multimedia. In the backstory, Starset was formed as part of a public outreach initiative by the Starset Society, whose aims were to alert the public about the contents of "the Message" the society obtained from a mysterious signal from space. Starset treats their backstory and the Starset Society as real in interviews, with few exceptions.”

Starset's Immersion: The Final Chapter tour had transformed The Factory into a sci-fi spectacle unlike anything else, leaving fans eagerly awaiting the bands next visually stunning cosmic adventure.
