Siiickbrain Releases New Single “Psychopath”

Screamo artist Siiickbrain released a new single “Psychopath” this past Friday, following quickly on the heels of a collaborative single with singer/songwriter Maggie Lindemann and preceding the release of the artist’s debut album My Masochistic Mind.

Siiickbrain’s (aka Caroline Miner’s) impressive vocal range is at the forefront of “Psychopath”; oscillating between pained but nonetheless clean and comprehensible screaming and growling and deep, melodic vocals, the singer maintains a relentless energy through the entire composition. Backed by dark, industrial, electronic instrumentals, the song is equal parts danceable and moshable, a feature that has become a mainstay in Siiickbrain’s discography.

In similar fashion to the artist’s other work, “Psychopath” focuses on mental struggle and turmoil, in a way that is reflected both in the lyrics and the passion and anger with which they’re screamed and sung. The mood of the song is equal parts dark, ruthless, and venomous from start to finish, and as the last single set to be released before My Masochistic Mind drops, “Psychopath” does a fantastic job leaving its listener wanting more.

Stream “Psychopath” on Spotify, and stay tuned for My Masochistic Mind, due out December 1st.
